Your experience demonstrates the value of structure and limits. As you noted, you hit your word count with plenty of time left. 

While some may think that drawing lines &quot;in the sand&quot; hampers creativity, my experience has been just the opposite.  When I do workshop exercises, I always provide a time limit and otherwise restrict the participants.

People are smart and creative - they will rise to the occasion:)</description>
